We are HERE!!!!!!!
It is Saturday afternoon the 13th here. I looked up the world clock to see what time it is in the U.S. It is 4 a.m., Well, we got here safe and all the plane rides were smooth and on time. It is really kewl to be on these flights and meeting people from many different countries. Most people are very nice and like to talk. Our luggage did not make it to S. Africa, only Allison's guitar and that was really a blessing, because she sang a couple of songs for us this morning and that really was comforting to my homesick heart. Yes, I was homesick, especially last night when I layed my head on the pillow. What was funny was that the extreme quite was keeping away, I wasn't used to that. You know, I am used to hearing the noises of the city. Anyway, thanks to my special friend Pat, she advised me to take a couple of changes of clothes in my carry on. At first I was like, whatever, but I thought I should listen to her. So I do have a couple of changes and our luggage will be here tonight around 10 p.m. Also, we are shopping right now for clothes because the airport is reimbursing us 600 rand each for clothing a day. that is about 100.00. Charlie Johnshon is a member of our church who lives out here periodically during the year. I am sitting here with a very cute 7 year old boy named Yamkayla who Charlie is in the process of adopting him and possibly bringing him to the states for treatment. He has aids. He is from Kayamundi. His mother died from aids not too long ago. This boy is so alive and he loves Jesus. It is so cute to hear his accent when he says "Jesus". He wants to go with me everywhere. Like right now, I am alone here at an internet cafe and he wanted to stay with me. I will post a picture of him later. I will be able to post pictures and that is good news. Well, I have to go for now, but not for good. Things to pray for are our health, that we remain together in the Spirit, for protection and we will be working with some children in a new school just started in Kayamundi, please pray for much love and warmth through us.
IN CHRIST
Adelina
P.S. Any of you who know my grand daughter, big hugs for her from me, my love for her, Jonathan, Rochelle, Alicia, Marina, Armando and my grandchildren are truly a gift here for the children, and the the teenagers I have met so far.
